Founded by two mothers, Sonia Ostrovsky and Kristina Carini, Casa Carini is a celebration of artisanal treasures discovered through their travels across Europe. Their mission is to curate a collection of objects that reflect the care, intention, and unique beauty they encountered along the way.

Sonia Ostrovsky, a Spanish-born Art Director and mother of two, spent 6 years living in Los Angeles. Throughout her travels back to Spain, she found herself drawn to the intricate and thoughtfully crafted items that seemed to tell a story of the places they were made. Sonia’s deep appreciation for artistry and the meticulous details in European crafts shaped the vision for Casa Carini.

Kristina Carini, a native Californian and mother of two, has always had a keen eye for handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces. Spending part of her time in Italy with her family, Kristina became captivated by the passionate artisans she encountered and the centuries-old traditions of craftsmanship that were passed down through generations. Her admiration for slow, thoughtful production formed a connection with Sonia, sparking a shared dream of creating something beautiful together—something that would bring the heirloom quality and traditional craftsmanship of many European countries into the homes of families around the globe.

Sonia and Kristina’s bond grew over their shared experiences as mothers, their love of travel, and their mutual fascination with the wonderful, whimsical objects they discovered along the way.
